A month has passed since the awe-inspiring and spiritually charged gathering convened by renowned gospel music minister, Dunsin Oyekan, graced the iconic Onikan Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Outpouring Lagos 2023 which held on the 5th of November 2023 marked a milestone as some of the nation’s most celebrated clergymen, gospel musicians, attendees, volunteers, and esteemed guests rallied in their numbers to what has been dubbed a monumental gathering; their presence underscoring a unified desire for Pentecostal revival in an atmosphere that transcended denominational boundaries.
The event, which witnessed an overwhelming turnout, had the Onikan Stadium brimming to capacity, with soul-stirring melodies delivered by Oyekan himself, in company of Nathaniel Bassey, Victoria Orenze, Chioma Jesus, Lawrence Oyor and other singers.
A truly memorable part of The Outpouring Lagos 2023 was a ministration by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye where he charged the people to praise God with their own song, and the mammoth crowd roared back like sounds of many waters. Pastors Poju Oyemade, Isaac Oyedepo and PDaniel Olawande to mention a few also delivered powerful messages, and fervent prayers.
According to the convener, the gathering was a handshake between two generations and was an opportunity for every attendee to stand in the gap for their nation and themselves.
As the memories of The Outpouring Lagos 2023 linger on, together with earlier editions in Canada, London, Abuja and Ilorin, the ripple effects of Oyekan’s act of faith continue to inspire and ignite a flame of spiritual awakening across Lagos and beyond. 2024 is going to be one for the books, surely.
