“You Need Enemies To Fulfill Destiny, Don’t Kill Them” | @kennykore

Kehinde Akinbode, popularly known as Kenny Kore is a Nigerian Gospel Music Artiste. Known widely as a former member of the gospel group ‘Infinity’ and also through his hit song ‘Eledumare’ took to instagram to share some powerful nuggets today; Tuesday 30th May 2017.

Starting off with the headline; “You need enemies to fulfill destiny, Don’t kill them.” He encouraged Christians to stay away from retaliation and advised that instead we should bless those who curse us.

He had this to say:

Do you think that I like to see wicked people die?
says the Sovereign LORD.
Of course not!
I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.”-Ezekiel 18:23.

All those #backToSender prayers have no root in scriptures; “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing,
because TO THIS YOU WERE CALLED so that you may inherit a blessing.”-1 Peter 3:9.”

He urged believers to allow God to be a judge to those fighting against us. He pleaded that one should never take revenge into their own hands but leave room for God to decide. He shared a couple of bible scriptures to back up his statements and explained that these so called enemies have a part to play in our destinies:

” Let GOD HIMSELF decide who HE wants to kill on your behalf, killing enemies with prayers is so Anti-Christian, the fact that the practice is so wide spread is an indictment on the health of today’s churches.

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for GOD’S wrath, for it is written: “It is MINE to avenge; I will repay,” says the LORD.”-Romans 12:19.

When the LORD takes pleasure in you, HE causes your enemies to favour you.

-Proverbs 16:7 “Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice,”

-Proverbs 24:17. “On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

-Romans 12:20. “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”-Matthew 5:44.

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies…”-Psalm 23:5. Without his enemies, Joseph wouldn’t have become a prime minister in Egypt. Your enemies have roles to play in your destiny. In a movie, is there a protagonist without a matching antagonist? Is there an ACTOR without a BOSS?

Stop killing them enemies biko? ,
You Just live a life of obedience to YHWH, Obedience ‘gangan’ is the best form of prayer.”
