Praiseworld Radio last Sunday recorded history with a huge success of its “Praiseworld Radio Unplugged” event held at the Church 3:16 (Youth Church of Fountain Of Life). As earlier stated, the event was a makeshift of some of the radio station’s activities before a live audience.
According to its management, it was such an awesome event to the glory of God; a great opportunity to connect with fans, giving them a chance to have a taste of the everyday activities of the radio station.
Praiseworld Radio Unplugged also featured a world premier of gospel rapper Gameman’s single ‘New Day’ (feat Simi). There were also appearances and performances by Pastor J and Obiora Obiwon.
The 60 minute show hosted by Tola (the spice on the mic), Imsi and other On-Air Personalities at Praiseworld Radio, kicked off with Gameman’s performance. Thereafter came the entertainment gist and news updates.
Pastor Jimmy Odukoya (aka Pastor J), pastor of Church 3:16 made a surprise appearance in a segment that could be tagged ‘Ask Your Pastor’, which allowed the audience ask him any question.
It was at this time Pastor J informed the audience that he will be releasing a new single with Gaise, titled ‘Bigger Than You’. He also stated that his album had been ready for a while. In his words, ‘I am waiting for d right time before releasing it’
And another BIG surprise – Obiwon! The music minister shared his testimony of ‘porting’ from secular to gospel music, which was quite inspiring. He followed it up with a performance of his single ‘Testify’ making another highpoint of the unique event.
Praiseworld Unplugged also witnessed many artistes in attendance such as Provabs, Protek, Sokleva of Rooftop MCs, Okeysokay, Psalmos, CIA, Gaise, amongst others.
Church 3:16’s youthful congregation thoroughly enjoyed the event as those who had never listened to Praiseworld Radio were in awe of the idea of an urban gospel radio station.
The event was supported by X2D TV, who together with Praiseworld Radio had a great chat with guests, artistes, and attendees on the red carpet after the event.
