The Experience Lagos is an annual interdenominational concert. This Year’s edition is tagged ‘’ONE GOD ONE VOICE (1G1V)’’. According to organizers, the theme is due to the fact that the Church as an extension of God’s kingdom here on earth should be an agent of unity and peace. With the recent chaos, instability, health-challenges and news of war across the world at the moment, this program will broker unity and promote oneness through the power of music and worship!
Last year, gospel artistes from all over the globe which included Don Moen, Frank Edwards, Cece Winans, Tyre Tribbet, Donnie McClurkin, Midnight Crew, Glowreeyah Braimah, Yolanda Adams to mention a few converged with over 700,000 worshippers at the Tafawa Balewa Sqaure to have a great night of singing, dancing and worship.
Highlights of the event were the electrifying moments when the huge crowd gathered sang along with several artistes ministering without any instruments. The different ethnic groups and diverse vocal dexterities ranging from thin to deep, harmonious as well as those who sang off-key (without the faintest idea)could all be heard at the same time.
The memorable moment paints a perfect picture for the vision of The Experience Lagos organizers: Unity through music and worship!
This Year’s Edition boasts of a rich lineup of artistes with renowned names such as Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Micah Stampley, Chevelle Franklyn, Midnight Crew, Sinach, Israel Houghton, Frank Edwards, Chioma Jesus, Nathaniel Bassey, Angella Christie, Onos, Freke Umoh amongst others. Ministering alongside other preachers from various denominations is the convener and Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin.
The Experience Lagos is an interdenominational gospel concert that runs from 7:00pm till 6am, 11hours of uninterrupted live music and prayers. The venue, Tafawa Balewa Square is a huge space with security at the maximum. To avoid stampede and rowdiness, a standard sitting arrangement has been put in place to accommodate the massive crowd conveniently.
In the course of worship, the blind have regained their sight, the lame have walked with lots of other deliverance and breakthrough stories shared by concert attendants.
