“If God Has Delivered You From Someone Who Is Violent, Don’t Make Excuses For Him or Her” | @nathanielblow

Today, Wednesday 31st May 2017, popular gospel artiste Nathaniel Bassey shared his thoughts on the issue of domestic violence. He took to Instagram to express these thoughts:

“My dear Christian Single. You are blessed o.

Please Eh! If God has delivered you from someone who is violent, I beg don’t try making excuses for Him or Her just so they can come back.

Many times it’s the grace and mercy of God that exposes that part of people in courtship just so we can bolt away. And help them from AFAR. Honestly, there are some issues you can cope with, but an angry and violent person may not be one of those.

If they slapped you once, and then twice in courtship, don’t expect any thing less than Boxing, wrestling and above in marriage. Please advise your legs to carry you away fast while they can now. Before you enter “Marital one-Chance.” It’s your favorite wise Baby ?. From the Pretty Baby Corner. #PrettyBabyCorner”

It has become a norm in the 21st century whereby women are being molested, beaten and abused regularly in their relationships. According to British crime survey, from the year 2005 – till date, more than 40% of women are domestic violence victims.

Many stories have been shared by various women all over the world. Stories of how they have been maltreated and battered in their relationships. This has led to a whole lot of murder cases, scars, injuries and many of them have eventually lost their self esteem. Quite a number of women have also lost their lives due to fear of speaking out.

We can only hope and pray that those going through these terrible experiences will have the strength and boldness to break through the shackles of domestic violence.
