The unique, a la carte gospel show dubbed ‘Gospel Night Live’ that took Lagos by storm in May 2012 is back. This time the event will be holding at the prestigious 2000-seating capacity UNILAG’s main auditorium. This writer agrees that this is a good move away from the 200- seating space in Rodizzio GRA where the show held for several months last year.

“We had to take a break to reorganize and plan a better show that will continue to run monthly in a bigger and conducive venue in line with the goal of providing a platform for both new and established gospel acts. The vision of GNLive remains the same and our resolve is stronger than ever. Our mission is to showcase high quality African gospel music on a world-class pedestal in order to increase its attractiveness and consequently the earning power of the genre.” According to the organizer, Tunde Makinwa.

The program is still powered by Spinlet who have facilitated the monthly concert’s migration to a much larger venue.

The re-launch edition will feature the hottest names in Gospel music including MidnightCrew, Dieko, Monique, A’dam, K-sticks and more.

Kunle Pinmiloye Ph.D, a.k.a ‘K-Sticks’ is an award winning international musician, professional drummer, drum instructor, music lecturer, choir director and a world-class music director with almost 3 decades of a rich and multi-cultural experience in the music world.

He recently came back from post-doctoral studies at the renowned Musician Institute in Hollywood USA, where he conducted seminars on drums and music and facilitated workshops across the USA for choirs and music groups. He is the Music Director of the dynamic Daystar Christian Center choir and the brain behind the annual Daystar Christmas Carol concert. With musical influences spreading across local and global boundaries, K-sticks is a much sought-after director of music home and abroad.

K-sticks will be performing at GNLive alongside the international African Master Drummers (AMD) on the 26th of September.
