EVENT: @FelaDurotoye And Airtel To Inspire Students Across Nigerian Campuses
Nigeria’s leading inspirational speaker, nation-builder and multi-award winning author, Fela Durotoye, is set to embark on a leadership and personal transformation tour of eight Nigerian campuses, tagged DELIVER THE FUTURE.
The DTF tour, a GEMSTONE Nation Builders Foundation initiative, which is proudly supported by Nigeria’s leading telecommunications service provider, Airtel, will see Durotoye and other inspirational speakers storm identified campuses with series of energetic, engaging and exciting activities aimed at inspiring and infusing the next generation of leaders with exemplary values required to achieve personal success and ultimately transform Nigeria into a most desirable Nation to live in.
According to Fela Durotoye who was speaking at the official press conference announcing the tour, DTF hopes to “leave in its trail Academic Excellence by engaging the Academic and Non-Academic staff of the school to improve the standard of communication and process of knowledge impartation, thereby creating a more conducive learning environment.”

Speaking further about the purpose of the tour, he stated that, “DTF’s mission is to raise leaders of excellence at every stage and age who will commit to the process of building Nigeria. DTF intends to build such leaders in every school, leaders who will commit to the educational, moral, social infrastructural growth and development of the school while still students, and even more so as part of the alumni. This program will also create a platform for past students of the institutions to come on board to support and contribute to the school’s developmental policies.”
Speaking on the initiative, Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, noted that Airtel as a youth-centric telecoms organisation gives priority to the needs of Nigerian youths and supporting them to achieve their dream.

Ogunsanya said, “Airtel Nigeria through ‘Deliver The Future’ has identified the timely need to orientate Nigerian youths because they are the future of Nigeria. The initiative provides them a rare opportunity to gain edifying knowledge, wisdom and discernment from the activities and the motivational speakers. It is practical that as a forward-thinking organization we encourage and motivate our future leaders in order to prepare them for the task ahead.”
The tour arrives each campus with three exciting competitions that connect young future leaders in universities with icons of success who have become positive role models of excellence.
The competitions include Positive Vibes, a music competition showcasing talent, good music and positive lyrics; Campus Speaker Number One, where aspiring young speakers showcase their speaking skills and ability to inspire others and AddVantage, a business competition for budding campus entrepreneurs to present their ideas and get angel investors on board.
The eight schools that will play host to the first season of DTF are Benson Idahosa University, University of Ibadan, Ahmadu Bello University, University of Port-Harcourt, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, University of Ilorin, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Lagos.
DTF provides a unique opportunity for students to leverage on the opportunity of alliance between students and alumni to create and build on mentorship and acquaintances.

With a star-studded line up of performances from top Nigerian artistes including Tope Alabi, Ebukd Songs, Lilian Nneji, Bidemi Olaoba, Mike Abdul, Beejay Sax, Psalmos, and other gifted music ministers, it promises to be a night of high energy praise, worship, and diverse expressions of God with something for everyone.
