The journey for the search of the next “Destiny Child” is coming to an end, as the grand finale Grand finale of the Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt will be holding on Tuesday, 17th of December, 2013 at Water parks Toyin street, Ikeja, Lagos by 4pm.
From the north, south, east and to the west, we combed the nation in search of the cream de la cream of gospel music talents in Nigeria.
The entire crew of Destiny child toured through nine (9) different states in the country searching, 18 destines answered to the call of destiny to contest in this second season of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt.
From their different backgrounds, homes, streets, the 18 contestants arrived Lagos, the magnificent DC city, a place prepared for their spiritual growth, musical knowledge, strength, stage charisma.
As expected it was fun all through, the unity and love expressed amongst the contestants meeting themselves for the very first time, wow, what a moment to behold as the praised and worshiped God in the house (DC City) together.
Every week our top contestants expressed the Glory of God through good gospel music, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the DC musical band, they sang all with the strength inside of them, constantly rehearsing and also seeking the face of God.
As the show progressed, the numbers kept decreasing from 18 to 16, 14, 12, 10 and then 8, friends were torn apart, roommates came back not finding their bunk mates any more, increasing the anxiety, tension among them and also among the judges.
The race is really not to the swift; neither is it to the strong, but solely on God who shows mercy to everyone. With few weeks away from our grand finale the question on everyone’s mind is “Who will be crowned the Destiny Child”? “Who will be the next big gospel star”?
