Secular-R’n’B-Artiste-turned-Gospel-act, Obiora Obiwon officially releases a music video for his worship single, Pour Your LovePour Your Love adopts a simplistic and minimalist approach in its interpretation of the artiste’s intentions, with the aim to deepen the song’s essence and place the focus entirely on spirit and worship.

Obiwon as he is fondly called enthuses, “Pour Your Love is just me worshiping the one who changed my life, in the little way I know how to…He is the reason for the season!

Recently, Obiora Obiwon carted away four awards at the 4th Annual Nigerian Gospel Music Awards (NGMA). The event which held Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria earned four (4) wins out of five (5) nominations for Obiwon whose rise in the gospel music scene has been gradual and steady since he announced a switch in July 2008.

The NGMA winnings were in the following categories and for the following works: Best Collaboration Song for ‘Hail My King’ featuring Frank Edwards, Eben and Kenny K’ore; Best Soul/R&B Song for ‘Good To Me’; Worship Song of the Year for ‘Pour Your Love’ and Album of the Year for his latest LP ‘Gold Water’. The award-winning songs and entire album were produced by long-time collaborator Phat E who also won the NGMA Producer of the Year.

While picking up his fourth plaque for the night, Obiwon rolled literally on the floor in appreciation to God for a surprising night and a great year 2014. It may be recalled that in the same year Obiwon was blessed with a son, got another award, several nominations and continued to exert an appreciable level of impact on the Nigerian gospel music audience.

MUSIC: Aldiner Laurent – Breathe On Me

Published

on

Singer-songwriter, worship leader and producer Aldiner Laurent has released her newest single, “Breathe On Me”, a deeply personal worship anthem born out of an intimate encounter with God.

More than a song, “Breathe On Me” is a prayer, a cry for the breath of the Holy Spirit to bring life where there is weariness, hope where there is despair and transformation where hearts long for more of God. With lyrics such as “Touch my eyes, make me see, transform my life, let the world see Christ in me“, the single echoes a universal cry for renewal, healing and transformation. This sound serves as the foundation for her worship experiences, gatherings centred on worship, prayer and expectancy for a fresh move of God.

Following the warm reception of her previous release, which was praised by curators for its authenticity, heartfelt worship and spiritual depth, Aldiner continues to establish herself as a distinctive voice in contemporary Christian worship.

With “Breathe On Me”, Aldiner’s prayer reaches beyond a single release. She believes God is awakening a generation to His presence and hopes “Breathe On Me” will become more than a song to listeners; she hopes it becomes their prayer. Whether listeners are carrying brokenness, searching for purpose or simply desiring a deeper walk with God, “Breathe On Me” offers a timely reminder that when the Holy Spirit breathes, lives are never the same. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Lyrics
Our faith is rising
Our light is shining
We’re taking over
the nations for our Christ

North South East and West
Dry bones shall rise again

Yes we believe Him
And we can see it
Our nation
shall be strong and great again

North South East and West
Dry bones shall rise again 4x

Dry bones shall rise again

RAP
There is a momentum bubbling from the Equitorial Guinea , go to Egypt
Let the ancient symbols teach you prophecies weightier than philosophy
It’s time for Africa bro rise and predict
It’s time and season
We are taking over like warriors
As mighty warriors before the Lord we overthrow Nimrods

Can Africa hear the matchings of Gideon
It is strategic
It is unconventional
What you thought will die is not dead
And what was a sleep was only hibernating , building it’s drum
So what you thought was loud was only
Scratching the surface

Every mountain that stands before
Zerrubabel move
You don dey form unshakeable
A command that is non negotiable
No delay , move
This is how restoration sounds
This is not nostalgia or a feel good sermon
This is restitution
For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down
That at the scent of water
It will sprout again
So dry bones come alive
Africa arise and shine for your light has come

Chorus
North South East and West
Dry bones shall rise again

Outro
Our land is prospering
Our people thriving
Where there was sorrow
There is joy peace life and Hope

Our faith is rising
Our light is shining
We’ve taking over
The nations for our Christ

Many are the works of your hands lord
I’m grateful, I’m one of them
Everything you made is good oh

When the enemy came like a flood in the night
You raised a standard against him
That is why you are God

Wiwa ti mo walaye
Ogo ni foru ko re

Bridge
Lord I’m grateful
For the little little things you do I cannot see
Lord I’m thankful for the Big Big dreams I have you made come through.
It’s a brand new day when I’m with you
I’m a living testimony
Please accept my offering
I’m alive because of you

Chorus
