Uniekgrace sets off her year with a new release “Shammah”. Though popularly known for her dynamic and energetic tracks in the afrobeat genre with six active years of dishing out afrobeats numbers, Uniekgrace begins her seventh year with a pure worship song, Shammah which means “Jehovah is there”.
“The journey as an independent artist is a very interesting one” she says, “even though you want the liberty to express yourself as an artist, the society and the music industry seem to want one to be labeled a particular way. However, the best part of being an independent artist is that you can do whatever you want to do with your music.
“I think I ended up boxing myself up also, I almost lost my way as a creative; until God reminded me to stop living in fear and just let go and let Him take over. There is peace when you tune out the world and tune in to God fully because he is that factor that is ALWAYS THERE” In any situation we find ourselves, if we learn to tune out the noise of the world and make the presence of God our secret place, there is no doubt we will always be on top.” she explained.
According to the singer, Shammah was inspired by Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.

Multi-award winning singer-songwriter Uniekgrace is a not just a music artist but a wife, mother of four lovely children, a registered nurse and a fashionista whose core values are family, culture and faith.
