Songs Of Prayer (S.O.P) ~ By @OpeWalker

songs-of-prayerThe Worship:

You give life, you are Love. You bring hope. You restore every heart that is broken.

Great are you, Lord.

It’s your breath in our lungs so we pour out our praise to you only. Jesus, we come in simplicity to worship you in Spirit and Truth. Give us a child-like heart. We are your daughters and sons. You are our father and we are so loved. Therefore, open our eyes to see how to be a love the world can’t deny

new postThe Request:

We ask that you lead, and we will follow. You know the way, you guide us tenderly. Your hands (Your grip, your grace) hold our tomorrow

Lord, we come, and we confess that in you, we find our rest. Without you, we fall apart, holiness, is Christ in us. Lord, we need you. O how we need you; every hour, we need you. You are our one defence and our righteousness. O God, how we need you

The world is shouting that we’re too young, too old, too shy, too bold, too average; they say the world is too big and we’re too small  to make a difference. Sometimes, God, our minds cannot fully grasp all that you’ve called us to be. We doubt you and we doubt your power in us. But we won’t listen because we are limitless. Here’s how;

“Your power alive in us is limitless”.

You take away the limitations when we fix our eyes on you. So, flood our eyes with expectations, till we reach a point where we realize that there is nothing you can’t do. You must think we’re strong to give us what we’re going through. Or how else can we explain these things?

not strongGod, we know in our own strength, we’re not strong enough to be everything we’re supposed to be. We try to be so tough, but we are nothing without Your love. Saviour, please!

The Surrender:

There is purpose in everything and we surrender to your leading. We know that you will give us strength we need. We will trust and no longer strive; no longer get stressed. For in you, our Jesus, we’ve found our rest. Boldly, we say “we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength” and are glad that we don’t have to pretend to be strong enough.

At the end of it all, at the end of our lives, when the music fades, let our lives  sing:

“That we let you write your story on our heart”

And all the people say amen.
