The overly anticipated introductory season to the project ‘Why People Need Cowries’, a 6-track Extended Play 016 Why People Need Cowries by 16-year old budding Rapper, Creo Pitää is now available for Free Download.
Creo Pitää who is still very young and in the process of finding his sound serves this EP with a spark of versatility and uniqueness, as it allows for him to cut across different styles without suppressing the power of the message.
This was an EP created from experiences of pain, lack, needs, joy e.t.c making it relatable as its story telling nature explains issues in a way understandable by the common listener, and doesn’t insult the intelligence of brilliant listeners as well.
As a teen growing up in different neighborhoods, in different cities across Nigeria, Emmanuel Okeke has first hand experience as regards to what instability can be. Having to move around often due to tremors of life, witness what insecurity and loss feels like, and having to be a victim of circumstance in a live which rather started off as a “bed of roses” has led to his emotionally intense, passionate and relatable style of music making.
An installment that almost didn’t come through due to frustration experienced during its creation. From delays, having to rerecord a couple of times and other circumstances of life you can literarily feel and hear the pain in the voice of the major artiste.
Putting together this short body of work which is his first, he says wasn’t easy due to the fact that he aspires for perfection and having to work with limited resources.
016 WHY PEOPLE NEED COWRIES by CREO PITAA is a project that features artistes which include Kvng Souls, rapper and major producer of this EP Limoblaze, American rapper Morsay, and supportive vocals from sensational singer, Beth, productions from Creo and producer Daris, and is released under his independently owned label G-G-G Entertainment.
Creo said “I just want to keep making music that is true and God inspired, find more talents I have because I know I’m special and use them to positively influence people all to the glory of God”.
