PHOTOS: The Chronicles Of The Oyemade’s Wedding (Pastor Poju and Toyin)

The traditional engagement of Oluwatoyin Olabisi Fajuyigbe to Pastor Adepoju Adeyinka Oyemade took place on Friday 6th February 2014 at the Inclover Event Centre, located at 8 Billingsway way, Oregun Ikeja, Lagos. Pastor Adepoju Adeyinka Oyemade was fully dressed in a traditional Yoruba attire with Beads to match. The Wife-to-be Oluwatoyin Olabisi Fajuyigbe was not left out as she was also Beautifully dressed in a traditional attire with well crafted Beads.

 

The private Engagement which was Beautiful and colorful all round was attended by both families and their respective relatives. The ceremony was well attended by Pastor Adepoju Oyemade and the Bride’s friends as well. Also at the engagement were CEO Sahara Oil, Mr. Tonye Cole and Public Speaker & Visionary, Convener of Gemstone, Fela Durotoye amongst other friends.

The Church Wedding of Oluwatoyin Olabisi Fajuyigbe and Pastor Adepoju Adeyinka Oyemade took place at The Covenant Place, Beside National Arts Theatre, Iganmu in the morning of Saturday 7th February 2015. The Wedding which was also a “strictly by Invitation” ceremony had in attendance, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Wale Adefarasin and Pastor Taiwo Odukoya as officiating ministers and some other ministers such as Rev. Emiko Amotsuka, Pastor Olubi Johnson from Ibadan and some other ministers from the Church as well were present.

The Bride’s entourage was dressed in turquoise on yellow while the Grooms men were decked up in Purple and Lilac.

Guests at the wedding ceremony includes Mr. Leke Alder, the APC Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and Sahara Oil CEO Tonye Cole. All these personalities have been previous guest speakers to the annual “Workers and National Development Fair”, The Platform which is powered by Covenant Christian Centre and Pastor Adepoju Oyemade being the Visionary and Convener.

Interestingly, some celebs were at The Oyemade’s Wedding Ceremony. They include Toke Makinwa, Mocheddah, and Halima Abubakar. The Wedding event was planned by Funke Bucknor Obruthe of Zapphaire Events. Other service providers included, Dr. Tayo Adeniji of Buttercups designed the Cake of the day, the Bride’s Dress was done by Hudayya Couture and her makeup was handled by Sit Pretty Makeup maverick. The Wedding ceremony was also streamed Live on the Churches website.

At the conclusion of the Wedding Ceremony, the new couple and their families, friends, well wishers and Guests proceeded to The Ark Event Centre, located at Blue water Zone by Lekki 2nd Roundabout Maroko, Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island.

The reception hall was well decorated and colorful and was filled with guests as everyone danced with the couple and thanked God for the journey so far up to the Wedding.

As if the celebrations for the day were all over, the new couple, Pastor Adepoju Adeyinka Oyemade and his new wife, Oluwatoyin Olabisi Oyemade proceeded back to The Covenant Place, which was now the host venue for an organized Reception for workers of the Covenant Christian Centre.

The Workers were at the venue from 5:30pm being entertained by a Band and waiting for the new couple in town to arrive for the organized reception which was to commence by 6:00pm. The Music Band was at the venue and at the Best playing beautiful gospel songs and sounds on their various instruments.

Saco, Forever and his other colleagues were on ground to spice the occasion while the workers wait. The Ace comedian and his colleagues didn’t disappoint as they crack some funny yet serious jokes. So also at the reception was Gospel Song minister

At about 6:45pm, the new couple arrived and entered the auditorium; The Oyemade’s were dressed in an all native attire: Pastor Poju in an Agbada and his Wife, in a lovely dress. Everyone gave the new couple a standing ovation and a rousing welcome. The Church staff formed the welcome train that ushered the newest couple to the stage. Some people wanted to get a close picture of the new couple with their respective smart phones, tablets and cameras.

Pastor Adepoju Adeyinka Oyemade had promised earlier during the church services that at the Workers reception, he was going to answer questions from the audience and so it was, the questions came pouring in. Workers came out to ask Pastor Adepoju Oyemade questions relating to “when he meet his wife, when he expressed his Love to her, how he knew she was the one, how they made their Relationship a worthwhile journey.

While some wanted to know why the secrecy, others wanted to know how they went through it. In the end, Pastor Poju summarily gave satisfactory answers to all the questions asked and everyone went away with something new, interesting about the man of God and his wife, that they never knew or never heard from anyone else but the Couple.

We thank the Lord for everything so far, because. . . . . . its Beautiful in our Eyes.
