5 Nigerian Gospel Rappers That Sing | @limoblaze @AMI_thesign @TheRealTB1 @LCbEATz_ @Nolly_CIA

There’s one thing to know how to sing but it’s a whole different ball game to be a vocalist, a rapper and be able to create a niche around this combination. These five rappers have been able to create a name for themselves in the Nigerian Gospel scene and some have even been able to gain recognition worldwide. They are first and foremost known as rappers but guess what? some of them are actually worship leaders in their churches and overtime have released singles to showcase their vocal prowess.

  1. Limoblaze

First up on our list is Limoblaze, a Gospel Rapper all the way from Benue state. Limo is well-known to cook world-class beats while delivering rap bars with energy and style.

Do you know that asides being a gospel rapper, Limoblaze is also a  singer who has infiltrated his vocal prowess in over ten of his songs? From ‘My Story’ ft Da Truth, ‘Life is easy‘ ft Sstedi, ‘Another man‘ ft S.o x Echow Clay and ‘No regrets‘ ft Lil Kal.

Over the years, Limoblaze has been able to fuse his ability to Rap, Sing and Produce. This has brought about ‘back to back’ hits and has inspired a worldwide fan base. On the 7th of April, he released his latest single “Emotionally” featuring Marizu Ikechi. This is yet another song that showcases his singing ability.

The rapper has also served as a worship leader at The Assemblies of God, Ecwa Church in Benue State and is also the founder of YSR Collective Music Outfit. Limoblaze is one rapper who has often been referred to as one of the few great songwriters in Nigeria. Say whaat? Wow! Talk about being brilliant and gifted! This is definitely one artist to look out for in 2019.

2. TB-ONE

Second on our list is TB-ONE, a talented rapper who is consistent with his energetic style and provides a positive alternative choice, with a vision and mission to bless lives with his music.

He has showcased his vocal prowess in songs like; ‘Igwe’, ‘I’m Blessed‘, ‘Voice of the Lord‘ ‘Kea Galalela‘, and ‘Long Time‘ where he has been able to fuse his ability to singing and rap. TB-one is one artist whose’s recent song releases have turned out to be hits. His songs are usually catchy and tend to rub off on the ears of the listener.

His latest release ‘Thank You‘ is currently a jam in the Gospel scene. TB1 (The Blessed One) is definitely redefining gospel music in Nigeria with his infectious and contagious energy.

3. Ami

Number three on our list is one of Africa’s finest rappers AMI (Formerly known as Provabs). Ami is one rapper popularly known to deliver his message with melodious rap bars using various music genres as tools. This varies from Highlife, Rock, Reggae, Afro Beat, Hip Hop, Juju and so much more.

He recently released his latest single; Smile on his birthday April 18th where he showcases his vocal prowess in this beautiful song which was released as a project of love aimed at putting smiles on the faces of everyone, a project aimed at tackling depression, self-pity, and inferiority complex. Ami skillfully partnered with Khan Foundation and The Bloom story to put SMILES on the faces of less privileged children in the suburbs.

Smile is that one song that makes you smile and brings a high level of excitement right from the beginning to the end. We are sure to expect more singing from Ami this 2019 and we are definitely looking forward to more projects.

4. LC Beatz

Number four on our list is LC Beatz, another young multi-talented artist whose artistry diversifies from songwriting, singing, rapping, music production and graphics design. Oluwaseyi Ajala AKA LC Beatz has a unique sound, an indigenous expression of urban Hip Hop finely blended with Juju and Afro-pop.

LC Beatz recently created a skit remix of Tolu Ijogun’s latest and popular single ‘God Alone’. He brought in a unique afrobeat vibe into the song while sprinkling in some melodious rap bars on it. You should check it out HERE

His sound is different, his message is strong, hip and radical. His passion for God is way too contagious and we are so ready to witness the next project LC Beatz is about to jump on this 2019! Look out for LC Beatz guys!

5. Nolly

Number five on our list is Nolly who is mostly known for rapping in the Igbo language. Asides being known as a rapper, Nolly has showcased his vocal skills in quite a number of songs from ‘Blessed somebody‘, “Blessed” ‘Oh Yes‘ ‘Ifeoma‘ and ‘Jesus na su Igbo‘.

Nolly is a worship leader at Christ Embassy, he recently collaborated with Sinach on an amazing tune titled; ‘Great God‘ and has featured with quite a number of artists. He is definitely another artist to look out for in 2019.
