Yolanda Adams Responds Harsh, says “Even Jesus Whooped Those Folk Out Of The Temple”

Many Christians think being like Jesus means behaving passively and delivering truth with a dollop of sugar all the time. But award-winning recording artist and national radio personality Yolanda Adams refutes this philosophy.

During a recent “Yolanda’s Take” segment that airs during her nationally syndicated program, The Yolanda Adams Morning Show, she noted that “Even Jesus whooped those folk out the temple” and had no problems telling it like it ‘tis.

Adams’ discourse began while addressing a letter sent in by a woman who has been dating a divorced mega pastor for the past two months, who still claims to be in love with his ex-wife. Not only that, but the pastor caught between two loves has popped the question, moved the new woman into his estate, before ever publicizing the new relationship.

Here is the controversial letter as it was read on air in its entirety.

“Yolanda, I have a question. Me and my man have been dating for a couple of months and he says he’s still in love with his ex-wife, but then he says he loves us both equally and he still talks to her. Should I leave or should I stay? He is the pastor of a local mega church and people don’t even know we are in a relationship. He says he wouldn’t go back to her if we broke up, but sometimes, I still can’t shake the feeling of him loving us both equally. Now he’s already asked me to marry him. I mean, he treats me nice. He just moved me and my daughter into his estate, but in his house is a huge big picture of he and his ex. I don’t know what to do. I can’t go back to the hood. I want better for my daughter”.

Adams dove right in with a direct response, not holding back.

“Well, number one, ma’am you are prostituting. Let’s just go on and say that. You’re prostituting. And I know it’s harsh,” admitted Adams, anticipating that her commentary would be frowned upon by some of her listening audience.

“Some of y’all [are saying] ‘You need to speak with the love of Jesus. I do have the love of Jesus and it’s right in my heart. If you listen to what she said, she’s selling herself and her daughter short. She and this man are not married and he has moved her into the estate.”

Adams added, “So, don’t write me no letters talking about I should show the love of Jesus, cause even Jesus whooped those folk out of the temple.”
