UK based Gospel music artist Mojisola opens the year with the release of a new worship single “Great I Am”, which she refers to as the “Song of Moses”.
I call it the ‘song of Moses’, she says. “I have often wondered what kind of praise Moses would have sung to God after He revealed Himself to Moses as the “I Am”.
Mojisola recorded ‘Great I Am’ in 2017 when she launched into the gospel scene, but why did she hold back on releasing it?
“I honestly don’t know why” she explained, “I guess I felt it wasn’t time. I wrote it in April 2015, when one night I laid awake and talked to GOD for a while about direction for my life.
“Then I pictured Moses wandering on Mount Sinai and encountering GOD in form of the burning bush.
“I took my phone and started singing how I felt, and what Moses probably would have been saying to GOD then”
Great I Am, was produced by UK Based MOBO Award winning producer and gospel artiste Evans Ogboi.
It speaks of God’s majestic splendor and essence; His works and wonders alike. It’s a feel-good, up-tempo sound that will have you dancing and smiling.
Lyrically simple, yet powerful scripture music (based on Exodus Chapter 13 and 14), true to Mojisola’s signature. She calls it a journey of miracles.
