The prayers were said during the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) church service organised by the society. The service tagged “COSON in the Church” was organised to begin the COSON week with prayers and supplication to God for the country and its people.

Popular gospel artiste, Ebenezer Obey in his address, said it was necessary to pray for Nigeria as she continues to be weighed down by series of challenges including insecurity.

He called on Nigerians to remain fervent in prayers for the country’s leaders to lead the people to sustainable development.

“It is a good thing to put God first in everything we do. It is a day of thanksgiving to God and prayers for the country and musicians,” he said.

Other prayers were said for the security challenge as well as the state of emergency declared in some states last week, the youths and the church in Nigeria.
